BACKDATED TO CHRISTMAS

[Whenever Rei wakes up in the morning, he'll find a small box at his door.]

[It's beautiful.

Rei slides it on, even though it's not cold in the house and it doesn't match the t-shirt he's wearing. He finds Haru whenever he can afterwards, bearing a small box of his own.]

This is for you, Haruka-senpai.

[It's a swimsuit that's as close to all his others as Rei could find, plus a small fish cookbook with five mackerel recipes in it, all already marked with small slips of purple paper.

Just things Rei thinks Haru can use.]

[Haru blinks, setting down his spatula and wiping his hands on his apron before taking the box. He carefully unwraps, folding the paper neatly before opening it.

His eyes sparkle at the swimsuit and the cookbook.]

Thank you, Rei.

[He picks up the swimsuit, admiring the detail and fit. Knowing Rei, it'll fit wonderfully. He sets it back in the box then flips through the cookbook. He was going to make breakfast- but he thinks he'll try one of these instead.]

[He's so glad that it looks like Haru likes his gifts. He loves his, planning to wear it whenever he can. He still needs to take gifts to Rin and Makoto and harass Rin about the Christmas dinner he promised but it's already shaping up to be a nice Christmas.]

It's- hand-painted. [He clutches his own gifts to his chest, already SO READY to hop in his swimsuit and go swimming.] But washing it by hand should be okay.

[Hand-painted? Ooooh. Rei touches the scarf gingerly, and nods very seriously like Haru just gave him instructions for caring for a baby instead of a piece of clothing.]
